Palawan Aerials – Islands and Coastline
A huge thank you to our kids, Chris and Elisa, for these pictures. During their recent visit, they had the opportunity to fly down the coast of Palawan in a small plane, and snapped off a few of our gorgeous coastline. These views remind me of what an old friend used to say, “If you haven’t been to Palawan, you’ve missed half your life.”
View from above the Puerto Princesa City airport:
And here is what the Puerto Princesa peninsula looks like from above:
Palawan is famous for pearls. Real pearls. But here are a string of pearl islands.
I love the colors and patterns the sea makes washing around this island in the Sulu Sea, off the coast of Palawan.
Looking inland, you find coconut plantations, with rivers meeting the coast.
Thank you for hopping on the plane with us for an aerial view of our beautiful island!

So lovely!
Hi Melinda! Thanks so much. The world is a lovely place – so many hidden corners of beauty – isn’t it?
Stunningly beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this. I think I will print out one of these photos to look at it when I want to feel inspired.
Why, thank you, Karen. You are too nice. I did admit that I wasn’t the one to actually take the pictures. Too bad we can’t all be up in the air looking down at least once a day!
Wow. These are gorgeous. Going right on my “hope I can visit” list.
I hope you can visit, too. I’m sure you need a vacation. Thanks for stopping by!
Those are some great aerial shots!
Thank you! I wish I could take credit for them. But my son-in-law took them when they visited Palawan. They have a nicer camera than mine. But they did give me permission to share their pictures.
Gorgeous photos. Nice to know there are still beautiful places in the world that are still undeveloped. You are so fortunate to have experienced life on that lovely island.
So true, Quirky.
